Giovanna Andolina Capone

was born and raised in Grand Island, NY. She spent her early years studying dance, musical theater, voice, violin, and piano. She earned a BFA in Dance and Choreography from The Ohio State University. In 2016, she transitioned into the film industry, producing films and stage plays for La Famiglia Pictures. She won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Neon Bleed and was nominated for Excellence in Producing at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema. She works as a Producer with independent production companies and has formed relationships with major studios, talent agencies, and casting directors. This positions La Famiglia Pictures as a sought-after production house of high-quality content.

John Capone

is a Writer/Director from Rochester, NY. He studied Film Production at Loyola Marymount University’s Film School, and the Meisner Technique at the Baron Brown Studio in Santa Monica. His curiosity for multi-dimensional characters and rich story worlds have made him a talent on the rise. John has written and directed three festival-recognized short films. Most recently, his debut feature film Neon Bleed was nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema in March 2022 and won Best Screenplay at the Scotland International Festival of Cinema in April 2022. The film was also nominated for Best US Feature Film at the Chandler International Film Festival in January 2023.

 

Mel Passarelli

serves as Strategic Advisor to La Famiglia Pictures, where he guides the company's long-term business strategy, film financing, organizational growth, and strategic partnerships. Working closely with the leadership team, he advises on capital formation, financial packaging, executive hiring, deal strategy, and distribution planning as the company builds a sustainable slate of independent films.

A seasoned executive with more than three decades of leadership experience, Mel has built, scaled, and transformed organizations ranging from venture-backed startups to publicly traded companies. Throughout his career, he has led businesses through exceptional growth, corporate turnarounds, acquisitions, and public offerings, earning a reputation for combining strategic vision with disciplined execution. He currently serves as Chairman of 3AM Innovations and Vice Chairman of Launch NY, where he is also a member of the investment committee, while advising and serving on the boards of numerous technology companies. His extensive experience in venture capital, governance, growth strategy, and capital formation—including executive leadership roles at 3AM Solutions, USU Solutions, and Attunity—brings a unique entrepreneurial perspective to the business of independent filmmaking.

At La Famiglia Pictures, Mel helps bridge the worlds of business, investment, and storytelling, providing strategic guidance that strengthens both individual film projects and the company's long-term vision. His leadership supports La Famiglia Pictures' mission to build a lasting production studio centered on meaningful, culturally resonant films, supported by disciplined business practices, thoughtful partnerships, and sustainable growth.

Mel holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law.
